You are sick off all these ads in your games? AdFree might be what you have been waiting for. Users with root (if you don’t know what this means, you don’t have it.) can utilize this application to disable the advertisements which are shown inside apps (not those from webpages!).

The application offers a simple layout and all you basically have to do is: Give the application SuperUser-rights, click Download & Install Hosts and wait. Puff! All Advertisements are gone. However, you can also undo the changes by clicking “Revert” – this will return you to the old state and advertisements will be shown again. Everything for free.

Although, this seems a cool idea there is usually a good reason for developers putting advertisements in their applications.  You won’t believe it, but developersalso need some money to live. Ads enable them to publish their applications for free, while the programmer still earns some money with it. Disabling advertisements will make the dev loose his income.

So you should probably think 2 times about installing this app. Still, 4 out of 5 points from me for that application. Everything is fine, but the user interface is ugly as hell.
